US startup Symbrosia has raised $7 million in new funding as it makes progress on its seaweed feed additive that reduces methane emissions from livestock.

Symbrosia said that its seaweed additive SeaGraze, which uses the red seaweed, Asparagopsis taxiformis, has led to an 80 percent drop in enteric methane emissions from cows and sheep when added to their feed in two commercial trials.
