With growing demand for blue food, the sector needs to put the planet first and ensure that we can sustain the long-term production of nutritious and healthy food. We need to focus on enhancing nature-positive outcomes and contribute to the world’s net-zero transition.

Adopt responsible production practices that mitigate climate and biodiversity risks in the growth of aquaculture. Aquaculture producers need to implement improvement programs that aim to improve feed, diversify the number of species, reduce waste and water usage, and decrease GHG emissions. These programs need to operate across all products, regions and large and small-scale actors.
